The Storefront Theatre is Open

Red One Theatre Collective is one of the hippest and most talked about new companies in town.  In addition to doing interesting work,The Collective has a history of creatively using space and revitalizing neighbourhoods  through the power of art, culture and community. To encourage the careers of Toronto-based artists, as well as local business, they have taken temporary occupancy of the retail space at 955 Bloor Street West and made it available for independent companies to book for a winter of independent theatrical productions. As well as developing productions of their own.

Run by founding members of the collective, Benjamin Blais and Tyrone Savage (Stratford Theatre Festival, Guthrie recipient), as well as Kelly Read (Associate Technical Director for Soulpepper Theatre) and Stacey-Lee Turner (Assistant Curator at the Campbell House Museum), The StoreFront Theatre will be a multi-disciplinary cultural hub throughout the early months of 2013.

And the StoreFront's first show Wait Until Dark,  which opened last week, has been very well received by local critics and audiences. With such an innovative approach and great theatre Red One has nailed it again.

Wait Until Dark plays at the StoreFront Theatre (955 Bloor Street West) until January 26th, 2013

Performances are Tuesday – Saturday at 8pm, with Sunday Matinees at 2pm
Tickets are $23.54 each, general admission.
